The uAvionix Sentry kit comes with a screw-down mount base attached to a RAM suction mount, which is quite bulky. It's possible to attach the screw-down mount base to other RAM mounting components (e.g. a ball) to make the mount even more flexible, but bulkier. I wanted a more permanent attachment point that was lower profile. This mount base provides flanges to give additional surface area to use an adhesive mounting solution such as VHB.

Supports are required. My print was done with PETG and 0.4mm nozzle.

Positive retention is done through spring-loading the half-moons into detents. The half-moons are intended to be two walls thick to provide good retention, but still be flexible enough to not crack.
