The version with the circular slot can hold narrows rings vertically. The open bottom allows small items to fall through and, hopefully, not get stuck.

Tip: This is a great model for the Variable layer height tool in Prusa Slicer. Adaptive with the defaults settings my print time is reduced by 45 minutes while still maintaining quality.
