A wallpaper smoother at the hardware store costs around €5. Highway robbery! Print your own for a couple of cents. Has a smooth side for smoothing out wallpaper, and a sharp side for corners and tricky areas. The sides are even labeled so you know which is which.

Post-Printing

Make sure to get rid of any burrs on the smooth edge. I found that running my fingernail over it once was enough, but you may want to take some sandpaper over it.
