Printing
For correct operation, these models requires dimensional accuracy within a tolerance of 0.1 mm. Filaments sensitive to moisture should be dried prior to printing.
Installation
MK4S
Disassemble the Nextruder into state shown on step 21.
Install pen plotter adapter onto the three M3x12 screws, while using it to keep the loveboard right in place.
Perform steps 22 to 42 taking extra caution as to not damage cables during step 22.
Example Usage
Open up the base project.3mf file present in the “model files / examples” folder.
Import the SVG you want to plot.
Set the SVG dimensions to X: 208, Y: 210, Z: 0.1 and center the SVG on the print bed.
Slice and load onto your printer.
Start the print and accept a "wrong filament" warning if no/wrong filament is loaded.
Printer will begin gcode, performing nozzle wipe (might remove in the future), bed leveling sequence, and then pause.
Place a sheet of US letter size paper on the bed aligning the top right corner with the top right of the bed.
I keep the sheet of paper in place using 8mm wide binder clips at the top between the pins of the print bed and remove the top clips so they don't collide with the print head assembly. Painters tape on the margins can also be used to improve keeping positioning for plots that use a lot of ink.
Load the pen refill, adapter, and spring into the plotter.
Resume the plot and watch it begin the plot.
