Summary
I bought a Nelko P21 label maker and it prints out labels that are 14mm’s X 40mm’s.
I bought it to use as a wire number tag label maker and then I thought it would make a great addition to my network cable label holder so I modified (remixed) my cable label holder to fit the 14X40 labels.
I added another holder where I cut the 14X40 label in half so it’s 14X20. So I made a 14X40 and a 14X20 cable label holder.
14X40 might be a little big for a network cable label holder, but it seems to fit and it even fits over either side of the booted ends. It even fits in the higher density ports but it still seems big to me.
I modified the cord grip area just a little bit. I think it was a little loose on the cat 5 cables before, so now it will grip them a little bit tighter. It’s a pretty tight fit on the cat6 cables now.
I know this is about the 3d print but have to say that I just love this little label maker. I installed their app and it connects to the phone by Bluetooth. I can type, draw, generate qr and bar codes, print little graphics and pictures, it is pretty amazing. All I wanted was a wire number tag generator lol.
