1️⃣ Insert the Slider Gate (MOST IMPORTANT STEP)
- Hold the main body upright
- Find the long thin slot across the chute (about halfway up)
- Slide the slider gate into the slot
- The round hole should line up with the chute
- The flat side faces down
- Push it back and forth gently
✅ It should slide smoothly
If it feels tight: lightly sand the edges of the slider.
2️⃣ Install the Button
- Find the round hole on the side
- Push the button shaft into the hole from the outside
- Inside the body, the button should touch the slider tab

3️⃣ Add the Spring (Auto-Reset)
You have two options:
🔹 Option A: Metal spring (easiest)
- Put the spring behind the button, inside the body
- One end touches the button
- The other end presses against the inner wall
- Press the button → it should pop back out
🔹 Option B: Printed spring
- Slides into the spring channel
- Same idea: button pushes it, spring pushes back
4️⃣ Click-Stop (Locking “Ready” Position)
- The slider has a small bump
- The body has a matching notch
- When the button releases:
✅ You’ll feel a click
✅ That means it’s lined up for the next cookie
(If it’s too stiff, lightly sand the bump.)
5️⃣ Attach the Hopper
- Line up the hopper with the top opening
- Press it down firmly
- It should snap or sit snugly on the chute
No screws needed.
6️⃣ Add the Cookie Tray
- Slide or clip the tray into the bottom opening
- Make sure it sits directly under the exit hole
- Test-drop a cookie by hand
