This was made for M3 screws; the title says "Scaleable?" because I have not actually tried scaling the print for other screw sizes, but there is no reason why it should not scale well to fit other screw sizes and types.
The reason I made these was to cover the electrode screws on a shock/vibrate pet collar device (see photos); I specifically did NOT want the shock function to work, even accidentally. The collar will be used for an older dog who is losing her hearing, with the intention of using the vibrate function to get her attention. The cap nuts will insulate the electrodes on the collar to prevent shocking. The cover photo shows one of two cap nuts on the electrodes.
The cap nuts are "self threading" in that they simply screw onto the screw, forming threads as the nut is screwed on. The hole in the nut is nominally 3mm diameter and 5mm deep. It should be possible to scale the print to fit other screws by adjusting the hole size as needed.
The cap nuts are designed to be hand threaded.
