This is my pool skimmer booster, there are many like it, but this one is mine. 

Saw some other products that are supposed to increase the pull of the pool skimmer, but was skeptical.  Didn't love the other designs that I saw, so I made my own. 

My skimmer basket is 7 inch outside diameter and its handle is tall.  The handle passes through the slots in the vortex device.  Removing the supports was kind of a pain for me.  I used simple pla to print with tree supports.  A different orientation or different material might make it easier.  I used 10% infill. 

After redirecting my nozzles to reduce top water "spin", I let the system run for about an hour.  I am amazed at how much debris that used to just sit on top of the water and float around got pulled into the simmer instead.  The reach of the skimmer's suction really did increase by a substantial amount!
