Summary
This is a basic Venturi injector for a well. I have a shallow well with a 4" casing that was filled with a five foot (1.5 meter) slurry of sediment and I needed a way to remove it.
This concept is redesigned from this project (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:209069). The original was created in OpenSCAD and utilized EU standards, the revision was redrafted in OnShape US standards and a smaller form factor (https://cad.onshape.com/documents/59164ea1b5ce597778acc108/w/41042df3d23fef510f9faf89/e/a0ff54b3440f9018ca8e31e0).
Major modifications and reason for the redesign, it was adjusted to fit a 1.25" pipe and standard 3/4" garden hoses (common US). Max width was also reduced to 3" so it would easily fit down the 4" inside diameter of a well casing. I also added holes for two 1/4x3/4" bolts. These are dual purpose, I found the pump would get stuck to the bottom of the hole or pull itself into the thicker parts of the slurry. The bolts allow me to stand the pump off a bit, they also add metal to the bottom of the injector as I found they were wearing out when I stirred the plastic against he gravel in the well. Further, the bolts may assist aid in resisting against delamination. A few minor tweaks were made to the nozzle system so it could more easily pass larger debris as I found it was getting clogged occasionally, it should now be able to pass .15" debris easily though that comes at the expense of some efficiency. A screen was added to the design as an optional second part that can be bolted to the bottom using the new bolt feature and slightly longer bolts.
Two versions exist. One is the standard Venturi. The second adds a small spray system out of the bottom of the injector to liquify and mix any sediments below the system and ensure they can easily enter the unit. This device made quick work of cleaning out my well, finishing the job in 10 minutes.
NOTE: The thread system isn't perfected, the garden hose threads are a bit tight. I'll clean them up in a future version if I make one.
