[German]
At our last D&D gathering, someone asked me if I had any coasters. Since I didn't, I simply opened my CAD program, designed some, and printed a few out. When I wanted a distribution device to easily hand out coasters and put them back after use, this project quickly expanded and grew in size.
The project now includes the model data of the coaster itself, a dispenser, and a lid. The coasters can be freely copied. Currently, I'm using 16 white and 16 black coasters, and the dispenser is designed to hold a total of 35 coasters. We tested its durability with hot coffee, and so far, the coasters haven't shown any signs of damage. We used Bambulab's PETG-HF material for printing, choosing PETG because of its better heat resistance compared to PLA.
Regarding the printing time:
- The lid can be printed separately for about 17 minutes, or it can be printed in groups of nine for about 2 hours and 45 minutes
- The dispenser takes about 2.5 hours
- It takes about half an hour to open the lid of the dispenser
The size of the coaster is 75x75x4 mm
The dispenser is 140 mm high, and the lid can be easily closed because I left a 1/4 mm gap on both sides. If you want to modify this project again

During our last D&D game, someone asked me if I had any coasters. Since I didn't have any on hand, I opened my CAD program, designed some, and printed a few out. When I wanted to create a distribution mechanism to easily hand out the coasters and put them back after use, the project got a bit out of control.
The project includes model data for coasters, dispensers, and the lids of the dispensers. The coasters can be copied as many times as you wish. I'm currently using 16 white and 16 black coasters, and the dispenser is designed to hold a total of 35 coasters. We tested them with hot coffee and so far haven't found any signs of degradation. They were printed using Bambulab's PETG-HF, and we chose PETG because it has higher heat resistance than PLA.
Regarding the printing time:
- The coasters can be printed in about 17 minutes, or it takes about 2 hours and 45 minutes to print all nine of them at once.
- The dispenser takes about 2.5 hours
- It takes about 30 minutes to put on the lid
The size of the coaster is 75x75x4 mm
The dispenser is 140 mm high, and the lid is easy to install because I left a 1/4 mm gap on each side. If you want to modify this project again
