This is a replacement for the E3 clip used in the IKEA RUNMARÖ cabinet assembly (see step 37 in the official instructions ).

The original clip is small, easy to lose, and not available as a standalone spare — so I recreated it as a simple drop-in replacement that snaps into place like the original.

What it does

• Replaces the E3 locking clip

Compatibility

• Designed for: IKEA RUNMARÖ cabinet (indoor/outdoor)

• Matches the clip shown in assembly step 37

• There may be mirrored versions of this part in the kit
  → If needed, simply mirror the model on an axis to match your side (maybe not tested)

Print Settings (important)

• Material: PETG recommended (for flexibility and durability)

  • PLA can work but may be too soft and melty over time

• Walls: 3+ perimeters

• Orientation: Print in the same orientation shown in the photos

• Supports: Required (tree or light supports work well)

Design Notes

This isn’t a perfect 1:1 copy — I made small adjustments to improve the fit.

The version I printed did technically work, but the fit was borderline. This version has been tweaked to snap in more reliably in some ways, but not tested. The peg fit is probably a bit tight, just force it? 

Why I made this

I damaged this clip during assembly and couldn’t find a replacement. I modeled it quickly and figured it might save someone else the same hassle.
