I've been sitting on this model for a while. My idea was to create a mold that I could use to press the shell out of molded paper. I decided not to use this method because it uses too much filament (one half of the mold was ~850g) and is too large to print reliably on my printer. The molds will all fit on 210x210 bed size, but the hard case won't.
Please check out my step file/f3d file to get a better idea of the design before attempting printing anything.
The shell is the part that the Milo and its accessories actually rest in. It's meant to be about as thin as an egg carton. The hard case is that the shell goes inside of.
The molds (in the presses folder) are to mold the shell out of paper. I've found that, for applications like this, egg cartons work best after being soaked in water for a day, then blended with ample water. I haven't tried to use my press, but there are a lot of nooks and crannies, so make your paper pulp extra watery. If you're attempting the paper press method, print all three parts, put the "wall" part on top of the "lower" part, seal the edge with tape (not glue or sealant because water needs to escape. This is only to keep the parts together), and add in the pulp. Then add the "upper" mold and clamp on a table clamp. Be prepared for lots of trial and error; you will not get it on the first try. I personally don't believe that the presses will ever work because of the nature of the case and how finite the details are. Attempt at your own (filament's) risk.
The hard case is meant to be 3D-printed and used as a 3d-printed part. It will not fit on a 210x210 bed. Also, my tolerances are not great in the hard case (and the model as a whole) because, when I designed this piece I both wanted it to be snug and didn't understand tolerances. Consider scaling the hard case pieces (case and lid, in the "hard case" folder) 101-105%.
The "shell" model outside the folder system is what the shell would look like if pressed out of paper. It's meant to be used as a 3D-printed part instead of the paper-pressed shell. If you particularly love this iteration of the okMilo case, then this would be your best chance at being able to use it. I'd print it upside-down and with supports.
I plan to create a completely new okMilo case, a hopefully more elegant design. I will upload that when done.
