This thing makes an ordinary metal sharpener (the type that has to be used over a trash can), into a nicer one, which can be used without fear of creating a horrendous mess. Also, its just another thing to mess with in class, and to have, because stuff is great.

this pencil sharpener is created in 4 parts, the holder, the cap, the base, and the sharpener itself. This must be purchased separately, i used these, although other similar ones may work.

use epoxy to join the sharpener to the holder, and then the cap to the holder. The cap fits on quite tight, and it may take some hammering to attach it.
