I have made a simple stackable tray for the catan cards with a sleeve. With a cap.

I used the 6th edition cards with Ultra Pro Board Game Sleeves-Lite 54mm x 80mm. I think they are US cards.

Bought the basegame cards + 5-6 and the Cities and Knights cards + 5-6 on Amazon for the 3D printed catan set.
