A simple Spool design to store and control 20m of cheap WS2812B LED LED Strings from Aliexpress: 

Parts i used: 

• LED-String: https://de.aliexpress.com/item/1005005806738119.html (choose “onlytransparent wire” and 20m)
• wemos d1 mini: https://www.amazon.de/AZDelivery-D1-Mini-Entwicklungsboard-kompatibel/dp/B0754W6Z2F/ref=sr_1_3_pp?th=1 
• USB-PD-Trigger Board: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0CH37FZ9N (configure for 5V!)
• 100µF 25V capacitor
• 470 Ohms resistor
• 2x Heatset Inserts
• 2x M3x12 Hex screws

Flash WLED on the wemos d1 mini (via https://install.wled.me/). 
Solder the capacitor between ground and 5V of the wemos d1. 
Solder the capacitor to Pin D4 of the wemos d1
Solder some Wire to the USB-C trigger board and solder it to ground and 5V of the d1 mini.
Now solder the connector piece of the LED strip to the d1 mini.
Connect the LED-String.
Power it on and configure the WLED software. You might need to change some color settings.
