Parametric Drill Guide / Edge Fence Template (OpenSCAD)

A customizable drill guide template for repeatable hole placement.
This model is fully parametric in OpenSCAD, so you can quickly set exact hole locations, hole diameters, guide thickness, and optional edge overhangs for indexing on a workpiece edge.

Features

• Define holes as [x, y] or [x, y, diameter]

• Origin-based coordinates: hole points are measured from (0,0) to hole center

• Adjustable guide thickness

• Optional overhangs:

  • none

  • single side

  • two sides

• Automatic corner fill when two overhang sides are adjacent

• Optional top hole bevel/chamfer for self-centering drill bits

• Built-in parameter validation with clear error messages

How to Customize

1. Open the .scad file in OpenSCAD.

2. Edit hole_points for your pattern.

3. Set hole diameters globally or per hole.

4. Tune guide_thickness, edge_margin, and overhang settings.

5. Enable bevel if needed for your centering bit.

6. Render and export STL.
