Notice:
This is only v1 and I'm still working on it and hope to come to a better final version at one point. But in the meantime Halloween is approaching fast (and also some time for manufacturing would be needed), so I release this v1, because releasing something with enough time is better than (maybe) releasing something better to late!
Meant to be printed/painted in white and to be worn with a black costume full face mask (like you can easily get them from e.g. Amazon) to hide your eyes 👀. Scary… 💀
Second Notice:
I have not print it yet myself (in the meantime I printed a 35% version that fits a Teddy Bear 🧸. See last image). So especially the following idea with the size test print might not work as good as I think it should work…
There are two STLs one is the skull helmet itself and the second one is a size test print. The idea is, that you size the test print to maybe fit your head, print it and check if it really fits your head. Then, after finding a good fit (give it some extra, your head is precious. You probably want add soft padding) you use the same scale factor for the skull helmet file.
The inner circumstance of the size test print is 600mm (there is a screenshot showing this) and it is a 10 deg rotated ring above the ears (there is also a screenshot showing the position of the ring).
Future Plans Notice:
I plan to work more on this design (so there should be a v2 and up later) and make it better. Since I (re-)learned a lot already until now, I might even start over from scratch at one point and there will be a real v2 (I deleted some intermediate objects in the process, especially with the boolean operations, and still regret that I didn't kept a copy… Rookie mistakes😞).
The most recent version of the Blender file is included, maybe there are Blender masters out there that only steal the idea and make a perfect version faster than me (that would be totally okay with me 😉)…
Final Note:
I'm happy to own a printer with a very big printing volume that the helmet fits into. So I haven't tried (or plan) to split the model into parts that are printable on smaller printers. Everyone with more experience in that totally feel free to do this and upload a remix to Printables again for the whole world to benefit ❤
