The OnePlus 6 is awesome, but a bit new I suppose. I couldn't find a dock for it! So I made one.
I hope you enjoy it, it's close fitted and made for the OnePlus 6 using the Translucent Case that comes with the phone and the original USB C cable.
Other cases might work. When not using a case it's a bit... wobbly. If you're not using a case and don't want it wobbly I suggest some soft adhesive tabs fitted to the dock as the phone is quite hard. But if you want to modify the model, go ahead! Other cables might work, please comment if that's the case!
Oh, I added a hole under the speaker and it actually amplifies the sound a bit! You might be able to fit a 3,5mm plug through the hole at the other side, but I haven't tried it.
INSTALLATION:
- Check for sharp edges
- Thread the USB C connector through the hole at the bottom
- Gently tug on the cable so it goes through the slot to the middle
- Push down the connector in the middle slot. Pull Gently on the cable while doing this, don't pull hard! You might damage it.
- Thread the cable backwards and pull a little so it's a bit taut.
- From the front to the back, wiggle the cable into the recess. You might need to use something to pry it in there if it's snug. With a well calibrated printer this shouldn't be an issue. If you use a metal screwdriver like me, be careful! Something plastic would be better.
- Done!

I use a brim but if your adhesion is good it shouldn't be needed.
Printed in Grey Clas Ohlson PLA and that seems great.When I printed at 40mm/s and 2 walls it was beautiful but due to the angle of the top the infill showed through. The second print was with 4 walls and 80mm/s, that made the infill disappear but I haven't tweaked the printer for that speed yet. You probably know what speed is best for your printer, but I suggest one or two more walls than usual due to the infill issue.
Post-Printing
Don't marr that cable!
The cable slot might be a bit sharp depending on how you print. I suggest going over every edge where the cable might touch with your finger, and if it seems even slightly sharp, go over it with a file. We don't want to marr those lovely cables!
How I Designed This
I simply modeled this in Fusion 360. Got a picture of the phone from the interwebz, modeled a block at the right dimensions (measured with caliper) and got the basic outline on the block from the picture.
Then I modeled the dock around the phone-block with arbitrary tolerances and dimensions.
Modeled a simple version of the USB C connector and a bit of the cable as well to get the hole right.
Finally, while the printer was heating up I added the OnePlus logo to the top!
After the first print I test fitted everything, noticed it was a bit tight here and there and fixed those dimensions.
