The Viking longsword. This sword is classified as a short sword, with a thick hilt, designed for slashing and crushing. It was mainly made during the Anglo-Saxon period and was a European version of the Egyptian saber. The most interesting feature is the reverse top of the blade, similar to our modern kitchen knives.
