This is a remix of https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6804839. I needed to replace the ball and socket mount for my small outdoor camera. I added a 1/4" 20 UNC threaded insert to attach the camera, a washer printed in TPU and the wall bracket to hold the ball and socket. The ball has an M4 20mm long hole to attach it to the base. I made it this long so that the screw would add strength to the ball stem. If you print the ball first and let it cool, then print the threaded ring, immediately remove it from the plate and push it onto the ball. The warm and slightly expanded ring will slip on quite easily and will contract after cooling.
It printed it with PETG because it is to go outside, but PLA will suffice for most applications.
The washer is TPU
Hardware required:
M4 screw up to 20mm long
1/4" UNC threaded rod if attaching to most cameras.
