AAC Keyguards for iPads

The purpose of this collection is to deposit all keyguards I have designed for different AAC apps on various iPads while also providing the files I use with Fusion to create keyguards. New keyguards will be added as I create them. If a keyguard you need is not listed, message me or find my Etsy store in my bio and message me there.

Screenshots

I have included original AAC screenshots taken from the iPads themselves for any keyguard designed. They have been organized into folders based on Pixel Dimensions and PPI. There may not be screenshots for every dimension at this time. As I receive more screenshots I will update this listing.

Using the “IPad Screen Sizes.pdf” you can cross reference which iPads have the same PPI and screen dimensions. This should allow you to design keyguards for one iPad screen/screenshot and only need to adjust the overall design for your specific Ipad and case.

Templates

To help anyone looking to design keyguards for themselves or others I have included measurements of the iPad screens in the “iPad Screen Sizes.pdf” along with a frame that is within the bounds of each screen. Due to the myriad of cases for iPads this will hopefully allow you a starting point to build your own keyguard and then you can expand outward depending on the room available on the case.

Files

For 3D printing and design I have included STL and STEP formats

For Laser cutting I have included the DXF format. 

Attachment Style

Most will be designed to use Microsuction tape to attach directly to the screen of the iPad. Depending on model there may be case specific mounting available as well.

Organization

Doing my best to organize things, how it is now works for me but may not work for you. Feel free to let me know and I'll try to update things as I can. 

I have started using a serial number system to help keep track of unique models for the same app and grid size. The file "Upload List.PDF" has a list of all keyguards in the .ZIP along with an explanation of the serial numbers.

I will also create separate listings for the specific iPads that I have designed keyguards for. I plan to add those when I can, if they aren't in my profile yet and you need something message me!
