I developed a structure that allows printing fabric with a small cell size on conventional FDM printers
The two toroidal bodies that form the link are distorted to print reliably without support (good thing I taught math to students for 12 years!)
Thanks to this, I achieved a minimum element size of 4 mm! And this is on a cheap FDM printer with default print settings (nozzle 0.4 mm, layer height 0.2 mm) and a print speed of 60 mm/s

UPD2: I recently tried to remove the upper large plates in this fabric. The result is a fabric that is twice as flexible, prints faster, and uses less material.
