Summary
This is a jig doll - a traditional dancing toy. To use it you will need a springy board and a 9mm dowel. This one is quite new, so I haven't got the hand of it yet, but here it is in action: https://youtu.be/Rvx3w8FRvrc
The design is based on a morris dancer from the English North-West tradition, specifically Chinewrde Morris which is one of the finest teams around and a wonderful bunch of people.

I use 5 perimeters, so most of the structural parts are solid.
I've used paint-on supports for the hollows in the back.
How I Designed This
In Blender I have designed a single joint, then a template with the joints in the right places, so I just need to add arms, body etc.
