This is a very simple circular monitor stand. I'm 6'4" tall, and even with a monitor that can be adjusted in height, it's still not high enough for me. At the suggestion of my chiropractor, I decided to make some height-increasing stands, and I found this model on Printables. I made two modifications:
- I have three monitors - a 34-inch widescreen Dell monitor and two 27-inch Acer monitors. The Dell monitor has an adjustable stand, but the height is not enough, while the Acer monitors do not have adjustable stands. Therefore, I increased the height of the Acer monitors to 100mm, while keeping the stand height of the Dell monitor at 70mm, because that's what the upstream model source code specifies.
- I use black ABS material for printing, mainly because I only have orange PLA material. Either one will do.
- I used a 0.6mm nozzle and a preset layer height of "0.3 strong".
My suggestion is to determine the height of the monitor you want, and then use BBS for proportional scaling.
