LED strips, especially COB strips, can only handle a very gentle bend in the horizontal plane. Usually I tend to cut the strip and solder the corner of use a 90 degree connector, but it isn't that easy with COB LEDs. Also, the tension of a sharp 90 degrees releases the adhesive in the back, making the whole strip fall down eventually. 

This corner bracket provides a large enough radius to prevent damage to the strip and yet be fairly invisible. Perfect for a LED strip around a cabinet!
