This is a bow limb mount I made up in tinkercad to help mount and secure a 60lb and 80lb bow (18mm tall) limb in a sling hammer. It's intended to replace the need for any rubber to wrap the limb when mounting in the finished print. Based on the design similarities it should work in a bolt hammer as well but I haven't finished printing that off yet. If the design needs tweaks for a bolt hammer I will upload a revision specifically for that.
Best printed in TPU in the orientation I have it set in currently. It will require a short (approx 4mm) bridge at the top but I did not find this to be an issue. Print with as many walls as you want and 100% infill. Just fill it in entirely. You want it slightly flexible but not squishy. For aesthetics I used paint-on fuzzy skin on the outer faces of the tabs on the sides but this has no bearing on functionality. Ideally if you have a multi-material printer (I printed mine on my Snapmaker U1) use PLA for supports and be sure to uncheck "On build plate only). I printed with Overture black TPU at 0.2mm layer height, 40mms, 7 walls, 5 top/bottom surfaces and 100% infill. I used the cheapest PLA I had sitting around for supports and used 0.5 top z distance, 2 interface layers, 2mm base pattern spacing, support directing running in same orientation as print (angle would depend o your orientation on build plate) and 0.5 for both x/y distance and first layer gap.
Center the bow limb in the slit and slide it down until it bottoms out. The tab should pop over the top of the limb and lock it in place. Then slide the assemble up into the notch in the body of the sling hammer where the limb is mounted. It's a snug fit so you may need to use a bit more than thumb pressure to slide it all the way to the top. Just be gentle and firm, making sure the bow limb remains centered. Once it is pushed all the way to the top of the notch secure using the standard Bow Arm Fixation Caps that are part of the sling hammer parts list. Remember, you aren't replacing ANY of the parts in the build, just the rubber used to mount the bow limb.
