I wanted to see how hard it would be to create a 6 sided case / tool roll from the ground up with the aim of hiding the hinges as much as I could and after that I decided to make it slightly customisable by adding a ‘mount’ block that you can edit and change to hold different tools, which you glue in place post printing.
Right now the the mount blocks are built to hold my metalworking files that have a 5mm width handle.
It's a bit bulky and the the closed shape maintained by the endcaps - Picture has a slightly different earlier endcap design which I decided to get rid of in favour of using the same cap at both ends - which also have loops for a velcro strap to hold it closed and possibly act as a carry handle.
As always, I used leftover 1.75mm filament for the hinges because Why Not ?

- Panel x 6
- Mount x 6
- Endcap x 2
