This is a large, high-speed blower fan designed to work with a 2200KV brushless DC (BLDC) motor, commonly used in RC applications. The design features a centrifugal-style impeller housed in a volute casing to provide strong directional airflow. It was made as a fun project and works great as a desk fan or for general airflow testing.
The fan runs on a 2S or 3S LiPo battery and requires an ESC (Electronic Speed Controller) to control the motor.
Hardware needed:
4× M3 x 10mm bolts and nuts to mount the motor to the housing.
1× bullet-style propeller adapter to mount the impeller to the motor shaft.
6× M2.5 x 10mm bolts with brass inserts to secure the top cover, insert the brass inserts using a soldering iron.
Ensure all parts are balanced and securely mounted before use. This motor can spin over 10,000 RPM, so always use caution and wear eye protection during operation.
