This is a replacement part for a legacy vertical blind stem/clip that is no longer in production; I could not find a suitable replacement for it nor identify its manufacturer.

The included photos show the original part (often transparent in color) which uses a wedge to lock the stem into the blind carrier. The wedge may be released by pressing on a lever. Furthermore, the original part uses a split shaft with a small hook on each end to grasp and carry the blind.

The common failure points on the original part are:

• The lever breaks at its fulcrum, preventing the stem (and vertical blind) from being supported in the carrier.
  • Blinds with this type of broken stem always fall to the ground
• One of the two halves of the split shaft break preventing the stem from securely grasping the blind
  • Blinds with this type of broken stem will fall to the ground when something makes contact with them.

The replacement part reproduces the wedge-latching and release mechanism for compatibility with the carrier but also increases the dimension of the stem so that friction may also hold it in place. The shaft is replaced with a single large and rigid hook, removing a point of failure.

Printed using PLA material with 70% infill. Support material is generally required; the lever part of the stem is essentially a large overhang.
