I wanted to create a divider for my cardboard comic book short boxes that would keep them separated while also having low profile labels that wouldn't bend or attach to the comics themselves.

This simple divider can be printed and labelled (I used a label maker with black labels) and then slotted over the sides of the box. 

These worked on two different brands of comic boxes so they should fit the standard short or long boxes (although long boxes may be slightly thinner cardboard).

Admittedly it isn't the most amazing design, but it serves the purpose and I think looks pretty good. Please read the pros / cons list below before printing to see if it will work for you.

PROS: 

- Keeps the comics separated 

- Grips the sides of the box keeping comics in place so they don't fall over if box is not full.

- Labels don't get bent by the lid

- Honeycomb pattern saves a bit of filament, weight, and print time

- Can print as many as you need

CONS: 

- They can sometimes get caught by the pressure of the lid and get pulled out. Recommended that you lift the lid by pulling out the sides instead of pulling up on the ends

 - The cardboard boxes are not consistently dimensional meaning sometimes the dividers will flex a little if the box is not as wide in an area. 

- I used a spare backing board in front of the next comic as I am not sure over time if the pattern would transfer to the cover under pressure. 

- The label overlaps the comics a bit, so if the box is really full like mine, you have to push the comics back to clear the label.
