Summary
This is a modular storage case with removable cells which is intended to store 12 values of small DIP resistors. It was made to fit my particular size and needs on inspiration of the Gridfinity project and this beautiful rugged case. I don't know whether this case can be considered as a remake since I've created all the models from the scratch, but cell profiles and sizes differ from the Gridfinity project - mine are little bit smaller since I've found them more appropriate for storing small items.
There are two versions of the case included - v1 and v2. v1 has thicker walls and thus is heavier (326 grams fully armed) and v2 is a more lightweight version (231 grams). Nevertheless v2 is completely strong enough to store small electronic parts like resistors, so now I prefer it to the heavier one. The case is all-printable, its assembly does not require any third-party parts like bolts and screws, only a few tiny drops of glue to fix the shafts in their mounting holes.
I've printed my models from PETG, but probably PLA is also OK. If you want to print v1, you need:
- 1x v1_case_bottom.STL
- 1x v1_case_top.STL
- 2x v1_lock.STL
- 6x v1_v2_shaft.STL
- 12x box18x96.STL
For v2 you need:
- 1x v2_case_bottom.STL
- 1x v2_case_top.STL
- 2x v2_lock.STL
- 6x v1_v2_shaft.STL
- 12x box18x96.STL
Please pay attentions - there are two different versions of the lock for the different versions of the cases. Make sure you are going to print the right one (they have little difference in height).
