I made this for our art teacher. The larger one is for 7th graders learning about primary, secondary, and tertiary colors. You paint the primary sections (P), then mix to make the secondary colors (S), etc.

The smaller version is for younger kids and only has primary and secondary.

I also have versions without the labeling.

Created for a 7th grade art class, the simpler version can be used for younger students

This activity would be part of an art lesson on color theory

1. Print out the color wheels in a light color, white if available.
2. The students will paint the primary color sections in the correct colors
3. Mix the primary colors in equal amounts to create the secondary colors in the correct sections
4. Mix the primary are secondary colors in equal amounts to make the tertiary colors in the correct sections

This hasn't been tested in the classroom yet, but the art teacher was very pleased with the 3D models.
