This design is inspired byThe mounting bracket for the direct-drive extruder of s_gutz, I decided to make my own attempt based on this. During the design process, I tried to use as many ready-made parts as possible while maximizing the saving of printing bed space.
The mounting bracket is also equipped with an additional fixed bracket for an 18-mm sensor. I chose a capacitive probe suitable for glass materials, but if you use an inductive probe, as long as its size is also 18 mm, it can also be perfectly adapted. The offset of the probe is set to: X axis -50mm, Y axis -10mm. For details on how to configure these parameters in the printer firmware, you can check the relevant information yourself; however, if you do not have a Z-axis probe, this setting is not really necessary.
Update
The final document of version 2.0 has now been updated, with optimized adjustments to various gaps and the complete removal of the outdated version 1.0.
Update
The design of Version 2.0 is generally satisfactory, but there are still some gap issues: the installation of the 18-mm probe is a bit tight, but it can be successfully installed with minor adjustments. In addition, the angle of the two brackets used to support the stepper motor is slightly off, and it needs to be corrected by grinding or cutting. These two details will be optimized in the near future! Despite this, the performance of Version 2.0 has seen a significant improvement compared to the initial version.
Update
I have already uploaded the full set of files for the two-part design! The new version is not only equipped with an 18mm sensor mount, a motor support bracket, and a cable tie mount for cable fixation, but also now supports flatbed printing. The only thing to note is that this version has not been fully tested yet, but it is currently being fabricated and validated on my own printer.
