Abstract
Hello everyone,
This is a simple and practical multi-layered hexagonal keychain storage box.
In order to adapt to keychain holders of different heights, we have designed three different-height keychain bases. The following are the required print quantities for each size. However, I personally recommend leaving some gaps when filling, as this will make the finished product look more refined and beautiful.
x4 - 15mm height
x11 - 20mm height
x4 - 25mm height
Depending on your printer model, you may need to scale the model to ensure that it perfectly fits the size of the print bed.
From a technical perspective, there should be a gap of about 0.1mm between the key ring and the key ring holder. However, during the actual printing process, I encountered a small problem - due to the extrusion deformation of the material, the key ring was a bit too tight when inserted into the key ring holder. Therefore, I slightly enlarged the size of the key ring to make it fit more smoothly into the key ring holder.
The specific zoom ratio is:
Keychain holder: 70%
Keychain: 68.5%
The reason I chose this scale is mainly because I prefer a smaller keychain size, which will look more coordinated and tidy when used with a key ring.
Update notes:
I've added a keychain holder for the v2 version, which is specifically designed to fit keychains with a height of 15mm. This way, you can store all your 15mm keychains in the box at once! Additionally, I've introduced a v2 design with holes, as some friends mentioned that they wanted to mount it on the wall for use.
Wish you all a smooth printing process!
