This is a simple and practical 3D-printed handle designed for guitar boxes or similar carrying cases. The model is intentionally kept clean and minimal so that it can be easily modified to suit different box sizes, mounting positions, or personal preferences.
I also added text to the model, which can easily be customized to display a name, label, brand, or any wording you prefer. Because the design is straightforward, it can quickly be edited in FreeCAD to adjust dimensions, hole spacing, and thickness to match your specific needs.
I printed the handle using Elegoo PLA Pro Filament (1.75mm) with the following print settings:
6 perimeters (walls)
6 top and bottom layers
50% infill
These settings provide excellent strength and rigidity, which is important for a part that will regularly carry weight and experience repeated use.
The design is suitable for guitar boxes, since sometimes the original handle breaks and the box becomes inconvenient to use without a proper carrying handle. The included FreeCAD file also allows you to easily tweak the design if you want to adapt it for your own box or case.
Happy printing! 🎸
PS: Do not forget to share your makes, and remixes. I love to see what others come up with! 😊
