How I Designed This
I chose PETG for this design because of its excellent durability against UV exposure and moisture resistance. The inspiration came after my contractor-installed aluminum cutout and screw broke just a few months after installation.

Design considerations:
I needed a design that didn't require hooking onto the end of the downspout, especially since one of my downspout runs stretches over 10 feet long. That downspout even tried to kill me when it fell and bonked me on my head when I was cutting the grass! This simple design uses a slight lip and a friction fit to keep the downspout securely in place and is designed for a standard 4" aluminum downspout. You can print these in any PETG colour or paint them to match your residence.
