The charging/connecting cable of the new iPhone 6/iPad Air is smaller than the previous one, and it is prone to break at the joint between the connector and the cable during use. This is a solution that helps prevent the cable from breaking.
Unlike the alternative methods available to solve this problem, Springy Apple Cable Saver not only moves the bending/breaking point from the cable/connector joint to another point higher up the cable.
The Springy Apple Cable Connector can almost stop the movement of the cable/connector joint area, and also control the degree of bending in the elastic area. This can prevent the cable from becoming weaker over time due to twisting or being too tightly bent. The elastic area is "elastic", allowing the cable to recover as close to a straight state as possible. .. Gradual changes/minimizing the curvature that could cause it to break can help prevent this from happening.
Three .stl files have been provided. They include only the device side, only the USB side, and both sides in one file.
This prints well on the Replicator 2/5 generation Replicator, but the design of the spring and internal support pins may pose a challenge for some machines. When using three shells and a high proportion of filler, it is recommended to use PLA to make it truly resilient.
I hope this will be beneficial for many Apple device owners.
