The licenced airsoft model of the iconic Steyr Mannlicher's AUG A3 has a big gaping cavity at the front end.

It annoyed me for a long time that grime and dust would find its way into said cavity.

I Made this thing to fix said problem..

Printed with 5 bottom layers at 50 sec exposure time
Layer exposure time is at 10 sec for better adhesion and reduced risk of delamination.

Like you'd normally do with resin prints you'd want to throughly rinse your part in isopropyl alcohol until all residue is gone and the solution doesn't change in color.

Then you'd want to expose all the surfaces to UV light - preferably through an artificial light source that can reach into the inside pockets of the part. Cure for about 30-90 sec for each surface for optimal strength and tensility.

Lightly sand flat any marks on the surface to your liking, then sprinkle a mist of isopropyl alcohol over the part and let it dry for a few min. The part should not be sticky/tacky but smooth and dry to the touch.

DO NOT FLUSH RESIN OR REST PRODUCTS DOWN INTO SINK OR TOILET! STORE EXCESS RESIN IN SUITABLE CONTAINER OR SPONGE IT UP WITH PAPER/RAG WITH IMMIDIATE GARBAGE DISPOSAL.

I used Fusion360 to make a stylistic muzzle attachment that would hinder stuff entering in front, allow for normal function and feel comfortable if used as a front grip.

The opening in the front has diameter of 35 mm (1.378") and the barrel of the gun a diameter of 18 mm (0.708") - and thus the hole for the barrel measures 18.1 mm for sufficent clearance.

The overall shape is an octagon with sides 46 mm (1.811") from each other, with a muzzle break at the front end about 21 mm (0.826") in overall diameter.
The holes for gas ventilation is angled backwards at 45 degrees and are 5 mm (0.197") in diameter.
BB-muzzle internal diameter measures 10 mm (0.394")

Total length of the attachment is 119 mm (4.685") and has a little extension lip at the rear for securing onto the bottom rail of the AUG.
