With more and more things being powered by USB 5 volt connections I thought it might be handy to have a few powered USB ports available on my 3D printer. So I purchased this item https://amzn.com/dp/B08MCZNYZN and designed these mounts to mount it to the side of my Longer LK5 Pro 3D printer. My 3D printer uses a 24 volt power supply and the USB power adapter can accept voltages from 8 volts to 35 volts as it's input supply. After printing these mounts and mounting the USB power adapter to my 3D printer I clipped the wire down to the length I needed and crimped a pair of U-shaped connectors onto the ends of the wires to connect it to my 3D printer's power supply paying close attention to which wire was the positive and which was the negative (in my case the wire with the stripe on it was the negative, though in my experience it is often the positive, just not in this instance I guess).
It comes in handy to use to supply power to power a couple of USB powered lights I have that have flexible stalks on them so I can aim the light wherever I need it. It also comes in handy for a tiny ‘Dremel’ style rotary tool I have that runs off of a 5 volt USB connection. You'll need 4 M4 (I think 10 or 12 millimeter long) screws and 4 M4 T-nuts in order to mount this to the 2020/2040 extrusion.
