This is a replacement switch ring for the Farmtek Timer poles.

The originals can get caught and spring off or can be knocked by a dog as it passes the switch which can turn them off !

My design reduces the chance of them being knocked and turning off, and also prevents the ring from coming completely off and being lost as they are secured with a screw to hold them closed.

These require a 6mmx6mm round magnet to be inserted as they activate a reed switch inside the pole to turn them on.

Weather resistance is a consideration, the magnet should be coated to reduce the chance of rust.

The material used should also be slightly flexible to allow fitting without fracturing, and also be able to withstand UV light, the use of black filament is advised to help with the UV resistance.

Don't use PLA, use something like Nylon, PETG, or ABS for example.
