The USW-Flex-XG switches are known for poor thermals since it has no vents and internal fans. So I made some minimalistic spacers to avoid stacking directly on top of each other.
This is a very simple standoff for stacking USW-Flex-XG switches. The switches have pretty significant round edges (especially in the front) with no side screw holes so these standoffs are designed to clip onto the straight part of the front/back.
The length of the object is 135mm which is exact depth of the switch. It will “clip” in a very snug fashion. The side of the standoff with a 1mm inward recess is designed to “fit” the rubber standoff underneath the switch in the front so it can sit flat.
The back of the standoff should fit onto the switch so the little rubber leg on the switch above does not interfere (see pictures) and can remain sitting flat.
Printing:
- Prusa MK4 with MMU3 (Single Color)
- No supports, make sure to rotate the object on its side
- 15% infill
- .20mm SPEED profile
- Generic PLA (I used glow in the dark)
This is relatively simple object to print and took only 15-20 minutes with the above settings. Use desired material.

It is pretty easy to modify the dimensions for other Unifi switch products, add fillet, etc…
