A improved version of my Meshtastic solar node: Easy to print, less parts required and stronger antenna thanks to N-connector.
Instead of a 10 W panel in a 45 degree angle this node now is using a 5W panel in a 30 degree angle.
Print everything in PETG with 4 perimeters - except for that ring which acts as seal and needs to printed in TPU, it keeps the N-connector of the antenna dry. If you don't have TPU maybe try to wrap some other foam- or rubber-like insulation around.
This model comes with 2 different backs:
BackPlateMastHolder: Print this if you want to attach it to an antenna mast or something similar
BackPlateForZipTies: Has holes for attaching using 2 zip ties horizontally or vertically
Drill 2 holes in the junction box on the short sizes:
N-Connector: 16 mm diameter, center should have 14 mm distance from upper edge (if you drill the hole in the center the coax cable will collide with the battery holder).
M12 gland: 12 mm, almost center, maybe a few mm to the upper edge
