K40 Laser light guide
Every time i use my laser i would need to use the test fire button to work out where the laser would start cutting.
Since this burns the work piece i wanted a simpler way to know where it was going to cut/engrave.
See it in action over on youtube: https://youtu.be/N-IoCycQCk4
After shining a torch around in the laser path i found that a ring of LED's would provide a small ring of light directly where the laser is aimed.
And although my mirror alignment is off a little bit, it was still able to produce a marker where i needed it most.
Before executing a job, i can turn the laser off and turn on the targeting light to see exactly where it is going to cut.
This worked out to be exactly what i needed so i figure others can use it too :)
The Fusion 360 model is included so you can change the LED sizes if they don't fit.
I have noticed that LED's aren't exactly 5mm any more depending on where you get them.
In fusion 360, just right click the inner cylinder and select "push/pull" to change the size, do this for each LED.
