I have several different colors of PLA filament and I wanted to create a convenient way to show people what each of the colors looks like when printed. I decided to create this very appealing credit card sized filament palette that includes all my PLA colors.

I have included the STL of the complete model as well as the STLs for each color block. If you have several filament colors that you'd like to make a palette for, I'd appreciate it if you tried my model.

I used Simplify3D to print and slice the model. First, I printed just the first millimeter of the complete model to get the black backdrop. Next, I printed from after the first millimeter for each of the colors, going from upper left to lower right. In my case it was red, dark green, yellow, blue, glow in the dark green, transparent, and white, in that order. For each of the colors, I had to keep both the nozzle and build plate hot between filament changes.

Changing the filament for each color in the print wasn't too difficult, and the finished print turned out pretty good.
