iPhone Desktop Charging Dock

This design repurposes your old iPhone lightning cable, as the charging unit for this docking station print.
 

Print settings

• 10% Gyroid infill
• 3 parameters “walls”
• Enable outer brim
• Enable “Detect Thin Walls”
• No support needed
   

Guide (Quick)

1. Print the docking station file
    
2. Insert you lightning cable from the back, through the hole, and pull it into place, it should fit precisely.
    

IMPORTANT !

I designed this to fit an iPhone with a cover on, but if you want to use this docking station with a good fit still, but without a phone cover, then follow these steps:

This requires replacing the plastic housing on your cable, but it is a simple fix and wont damage your cable if done correctly.

1. Download and print the “Cable_Housing_Replacement.stl” file
    
2. Remove the original plastic housing on your cables connector end.
    
3. Slide the replacement housing that you printed on the connector, until it alligns like the original did.
    
4. Dap a tiny amount of super glue inside the housing, from the cable end only NOT the connector end, this will secure the new housing.
    
5. Done, now just follow (Guide (Quick) - Step 2).
