Update 20Aug2019:
Another fix, cleaned up where the engine nozzles didn't quite connect properly to the fuselage.
Update: 09Oct2018:
So the doorstop has been well received around work, but one model had the vertical stabilizers break off after being kicked into place, so I've modified the design once more and added a model with thicker vertical stabs. I think it also follows the chunky lines of the rest of the plane as well.
I'm happy with this model.
Repetier does report non-manifold but fixes it in about 5 seconds so I haven't tried to work it out.
So i remixed my own model, (Is that really remixing or design improvement.)
I wasn't 100% happy and wanted to make the plane a closer resemblance of a fighter jet, so i found a sillouhette image of an E18G Growler, and using Inkscape changed it to vector and then saved as a svg file.
Thenin Tinkercad I redesigned the shape of wings, Vertical and horizontal stabilators, and extended the exhaust nozzles.
Much closer to the real thing. I guess having worked on F18's for 15 years it's something I wanted to be more approximate of the real thing.
I"ve printed some in pink, and that way they stand out when used, also people notice them then.
I've also made them in grey closer to real life, and it just blends into the floor, etc and I've found i prefer a high viz colour.
