Summary
I often don't use my 3d printer for a while and did not want to keep packing away filament between uses. The pre-made versions of this seemed more expensive than I though was necessary so I made this.
This is a filament roller which fits in a Rubbermaid 21-Cup food container with space for desiccant packets in the bottom. This is for a Prusa Mini but should work for other printers as well. Drill a hole at the 6 cup mark for a short length of bowden ptfe tubing. Fix the tube in place with Sugru moldable glue as an exit for the filament.
I used 608 2RS bearings (8x22x7 mm) from ebay for the rollers. If the fit is to tight, increase BearingSpace to 0.3 or 0.4mm. I had a tight fit with 0.2mm and needed some amount of gentle persuasion with pliers to get it on.
