This is a minimal frame for the Waveshare 7.5-inch e-ink display. The frame also has mounting holes to secure a Raspberry Pi 3/4/5 on the rear and a shield to protect the Pi and the e-paper HAT. There is also a stand to hold the frame when assembled. The frame is assembled using M2.5 screws. The fasteners required are:
- M2.5 x 6 screws x4, for the frame
- M2.5 x 25 screws x4, for the Raspberry Pi
- M2.5 nuts x2, to clamp the Raspberry Pi to the rear
- M2.5 washers as needed, to go on top of the shield
The parts assemble together in a straightforward manner. Just put the display in the frame, stack the Pi, eHAT, and shield behind the frame, and then screw everything together. The screw holes use the self-threading design created by Thomas Sanladerer, so no need for threaded inserts. The frame design takes some inspiration from the TRMNL e-ink display. The frame is small enough to fit on a Prusa Mini (each part printed separately).
