DO NOT OBSERVE THE SUN WITHOUT PROPER PRECAUTIONS!
This print is only as good as the filter you put in it. Please do your research and make sure you're using a safe filter, cutting it to shape appropriately without leaving any gaps, and installing it firmly so it cannot accidentally shift while in use. Otherwise you risk damaging your camera, telescope, or your eyesight.
This adapter was designed to fit over the offset reduced aperture on a Celestron Astromaster 130EQ.
Cut a solar filter to a diameter of 54 mm. I used the one below from Thousand Oaks Optical, which was thick enough and rigid enough to stay in place.
Install heat set inserts with a soldering iron, place filter in the adapter, and screw lid on top with five M3-5mm screws.
