I made this bracket to reorient the filament sensor. I'm using a dry box (this one) mounted on top of the printer. The filament still feeds through the same part of the frame, but instead of feeding horizontally from the filament spool, it feeds vertically from above. The position of the sensor provides a shallow enough 90-degree curve that there are no issues with friction.
This replaces the filament spool assembly entirely. Remove the spool bracket from the printer frame, then remove the sensor from the bracket. Be careful not to lose the small metal sleeve that goes between them. Place the sleeve between the sensor and the new bracket and thread in the screw. It should self-tap; if it doesn't, you might need to change the hole tolerance in your slicer. Use the bolts from the spool to attach the bracket to the printer frame.
Print in the default orientation for the sleeve to fit properly.
